We started to collect used English children’s books in San Francisco. In 2001, we shipped 2,700 books and 15 boxes to Palindan thru the help and support of 78 caring human beings, who were family members, friends, co-workers, and the public libraries. We gave the books directly to 245 students of Palindan Elementary School on November 2, 2001. Volunteers who traveled from San Francisco, Ca. to Palindan, Ibaan, Batangas, Philippines had a wonderful expirence with the project.

Books for Love 2002, 1,500 books in 10 boxes were shipped to start the first library of the school and mini classroom libraries. On August 6th to 9th of 2002, we saw how the main library and the mini libraries were set up. So many students have been impacted by the start of this project. We have touched the lives of many students and will continute to help future students with the support and love of volunteers and kind donations.
